Lector (First Reading)

Volunteer to be a lector on the weekend.

Service Description

We need two lectors at each mass on the weekend. The lector should check with the choir if they are singing the Responsorial Psalm and/or Gospel Acclamation. The first lector reads the First Reading and the Responsorial Psalm unless sung by the choir. The second lector reads the Second Reading and announces the Gospel Acclamation, unless sung by the choir. The second lector also reads the Prayers of the Faithful if the Deacon is not present.
