Second Sorrowful   Mystery: The Scourging at the Pillar — Purity, Mortification - Mark 15:15

15 So Pilate, wishing to satisfy the crowd, released Barabbas for them; and after flogging Jesus, he handed him over to be crucified.

Our Father …

Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women and blest is the fruit of thy womb Jesus, who was scourged for us. (during lent: who was scourged for my iniquities).

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

The Glory Be Prayer (The Doxology) (and at the end of each decade)

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven especially those in most need of Thy mercy.
