The Apostles Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen.

Or Psalm 70: “O God, come my assistance; O Lord, make haste to help me.”

The Our Father Prayer (Opening, then at the beginning of each decade.)

Our Father, Who art in heaven; hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. Amen.

The Hail Mary Prayer

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women and blest is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.(*) Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

First Sorrowful Mystery: The Agony in the Garden — Contrition, Conformity to the Will of God - Luke 22:39-46

39 He came out and went, as was his custom, to the  Mount of Olives; and the disciples followed him. 40 When  he reached the place, he said to them, “Pray that you may not come into the   time of trial.” 41 Then he withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, knelt down, and prayed, 42 “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me; yet, not my will but yours be done.” 43 Then an angel from heaven appeared to him and gave him strength. 44 In his anguish he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground. 45 When he got up from prayer, he  came to the disciples and found them sleeping because of grief, 46 and he said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you may not come into the time of trial.”

Our Father …

Hail Mary full of grace,  the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women and blest is the fruit of thy womb Jesus, in agony in the garden for us. (during lent: who suffered agony in the garden for my sins).

Holy Mary, Mother of God,   pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

The Glory Be Prayer (The Doxology) (and at the end of each decade)

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

The Fatima prayer (end of each decade)

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven especially those in most need of Thy mercy.

Concluding Prayer:

Pray for us, Mary, Mother of Sorrows, that we   may humbly embrace God’s will in all things.
